Prasanjeet is a Researcher with the Initiative for Sustainable Energy Policy – Johns Hopkins University where he is managing a mini-grid consultancy project in Jharkhand. He has good experience in the field of mini-grid development and solar energy and has worked on extensively on energy framework and policy & mini-grid development. He has over 5 years of experience in project management, implementation, monitoring & evaluation of projects in the field of solar energy, mini-grids, livelihoods & entrepreneurship, government consulting and digital education. He is also experienced in direct sales, business development, client management, rural development and policy advocacy.
He has worked as Senior Project Consultant at Ernst & Young LLP under Ease of Doing Business for Government of Uttarakhand and Government of Goa where he supported the state government departments in incorporating the modifications and updations as recommended by Department of Industry Policy and Promotion (DIPP) through Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP). He also supported the departments in developing policies, brochures, their rules and assisted them in simplifying the process of application for various services provided by department to investors / citizens. He also supported the state in developing an online single window platform which would act as one stop shop for investors to get clearances for setting up business in the state. While at Technology and Action for Rural Advancement as Deputy Manager, he had worked in close coordination with Smart Power India, an initiative of Rockefeller Foundation to provide clean and reliable electricity to rural communities in India where he supported various Energy Servicing Companies (ESCo) in setting up of mini-grids in rural India. He also supported ESCos’ in load acquisition through community engagement and micro-enterprise development.
Prasanjeet holds a B. Tech degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Rajasthan Technical University and MBA from Manipal University, Jaipur.
