Dwarkeshwar Dutt is senior project scientist at the School of Public Policy, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. His research interests lie in the areas of rural energy access, energy justice and environmental discourse. He got his doctorate from Jawaharlal Nehru University (Centre for Studies in Science Policy). In his PhD, he worked in the area of public understanding of science. Currently, he is studying the relevance and scope of renewable energy based decentralized technological interventions in rural India. He is also studying the historical development of renewable energy institutions and energy discourse in India.
He hopes to contribute to ISEP objectives by doing policy relevant research that explores how a developing nation like India can move towards a sustainable and just energy future while simultaneously harmonizing it with its economic development goals.
