Soran Mohtadi is Post-doctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. His research interests mainly focus on the economic impacts of fossil fuels on development issues and evaluate the role of political institutions. He obtained his doctorate in Applied Economics from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in 2019.
His current research at ISEP assesses how major oil producers are adapting to and preparing for the global energy transition away from fossil fuels and toward renewable energy. His work has appeared in Structural Change and Economic Dynamics and Journal of Economic Studies.
