Please join us a book talk with Dr. Johannes Urpelainen, the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Professor of Energy, Resources and Environment at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and CGEP Fellow, on his new book, Renewables: The Politics of a Global Energy Transition where he and co-author Michaël Aklin offer a comprehensive political analysis of the rapid growth in renewable wind and solar power. Following Dr. Urpelainen’s presentation, he will be joined by Shayle Kann, CGEP Non-Resident Fellow and Senior Vice President of Research and Strategy at Energy Impact Partners, and Colleen Regan, Head of U.S Utilities and Market Reform, North America at Bloomberg New Energy Finance for a discussion on renewable energy deployment more broadly including cost declines, power sector economics, carbon markets, and climate-finance. CGEP Inaugural Fellow, David Sandalow will moderate the discussion.
