The Initiative for Sustainable Energy Policy (ISEP) welcomes its first PhD student, Xiaoxue Hou, to the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).

Xiaoxue completed her Bachelor’s degree in Gegraophical Science at Nanjing University and is currently finishing a Masters in the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.

“At ISEP we’re thrilled to welcome Xiaoxue to the team. She brings world-class research skills and a genuine commitment to interdisciplinary research to address the world’s great environmental and energy challenges,” says ISEP Founding Director, Johannes Urpelainen.

In the coming years, ISEP will work closely with doctoral students enrolled in the Johns Hopkins SAIS PhD program with a concentration in Energy, Resources and Environment.
