Wei Peng

Wei Peng leads the integrated assessment modeling work stream for the Initiative for Sustainable Energy Policy (ISEP). Her work for the initiative utilizes a variety of engineering models to quantitatively assess energy and environmental policies in China and India, including air pollution control, renewable energy development, electric vehicle adoption, etc. She is especially interested in integrating political economy factors into engineering models.

Wei is an Assistant Professor of International Affairs and Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Penn State University. She received her Ph.D. in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy from Princeton University and B.S. in Environmental Sciences from Peking University. Her work has been published in Nature Energy, Nature Sustainability, Nature Communications, and PNAS, among others.
