Aarthi Sundaram

Aarthi Sundaram is a Masters’ student at TU Delft, studying Engineering & Policy Analysis and specializing in Energy Transition. She is interested in studying how complex socio-economic and technological factors work together to influence how communities adopt clean energy. Before joining TU Delft, she completed her Post-graduate diploma in Liberal Studies from Ashoka University and a Bachelor in Electronics Engineering from IIITD&M, Kancheepuram in India.

Her work has focused on combining modelling and simulation methods, combined with both qualitative and quantitative data analysis and visualization techniques to study energy transition from a bottom-up approach, focusing on developing countries.

At ISEP, Aarthi seeks to contribute to data-driven research to study environmental and policy implications of a shift in dependence from fossil-fuels like coal in India, to cleaner sources like solar and wind.
